Chicago Fire midfielder Cuauhtemoc Blanco is still making an impact on the soccer field, even weeks after the conclusion of his MLS club's Major League Soccer season.

The Chicago Fire roster lost three players last week as midfielder Stephen King was selected by the Seattle Sounders FC in the 2008 MLS Expansion Draft and two forwards, Tomasz Frankowski and Andy Herron, were waived.

The Chicago Fire left four of their best young players unprotected Monday for the upcoming expansion draft that will help build the roster for Seattle Sounders FC.
