DePaul Senior Night“He's one of the orniereist rotten little no-goods I've ever coached” - Coach Jerry Wainwright on Senior guard “Cliffy” Clinkscales

On a tropical Sunday afternoon in Rosemont, the Blue Demons faced off against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. It was senior day, and the stadium was appropriately packed to support the last home game for veteran Big East warriors, Kerron Clarke, Cliff Clinkscales, Draelon Burns and Wes “Hollywood” Green. The attendance of 16,934 was largest DePaul home crowd of the season.

ROSEMONT, IL -- It was the kind of first half Wednesday at All State that makes the career for the person who got the directors of ESPN to broadcast it live on ESPN2. And by “makes their career,” I mean whomever that person was, their career was over by the end of the first half Wednesday night.

DePaul Trombonist to Jerry Wainwright, “Coach they're really good, don't feel bad.” - Depaul Blue Demon Band Trombonist to Jerry Wainwright.

Coming off their upset win over the then 6th ranked Georgetown Hoyas, many expected a letdown coming into Tuesday night's game against a 10-13 DePaul team. Speaking on the idea after the game, coach Jerry Wainwright said “that would've been nice.”

Rosemont, IL - The DePaul Blue Demons came out of the gate swinging and hung with the Syracuse Orangemen like prize fighters finding a way to stay in the game early. The Big East has been quite a big jump for the Blue Demons, but it’s obvious to see that this young team has a future.
