Chicago State's 2008 Season FinaleChicago, IL - Chicago State (11-16) and IUPUI (22-6) entered the game on a cold Chicago night. Chicago State had come off a big win against Central State and an everbuilding confidence. The story coming into the game is that of Chicago State's David Holston. He only needed 30 points to break Chicago State's all time scoring record. David Holston is only 5'8" but his heart has been much larger than that. Could Holston take this team to victory?

The Chicago State University Cougars are the Division One basketball equivalent of Nortre Dame Fighting Irish Football. Both are independent, as opposed to being in a conference; both play Michigan State every year and both see themselves as championship programs.

Well, that third “both” may be going a little too far for Notre Dame.

But, Chicago State played the greatest sports dynasty song ever, thanks to the Mighty Ducks, after their 93 to 85 win Saturday afternoon over Central State Marauders,

DePaul University looked abysmal in the first half of play, however made it interesting in the second half of play after Draelon Burns attempted to rain on West Virginia's parade only to fall short.
