| Jay Cutler, Michael Vick to the Bears? | ||||

The Denver Broncos have officially begun taking bids on disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler. Denver reportedly gave up on Cutler after the quarterback showed up at spring training camp wearing a “Broncos Suck” jersey.
However, there is much debate over whether the Bears should pursue Cutler. On the one side are opponents who say “Our quarterback is Kyle Orton.” On the other side are supporters who say “Our quarterback is Kyle Orton.” If the Bears do sign Cutler, he would be the second first-round quarterback the Bears have used over the past three years, following in the missteps of Rex Grossman. Today when a reporter asked Rex Grossman what he misses most about Chicago, he said “My receivers.” If Cutler were to sign with the Bears, he would join a long list of Hall of Fame quarterbacks, starting with Sid Luckman and ending with . . . Sid Luckman. Former Atlanta quarterback Michael Vick’s name has also popped up as a possible Bears QB. Vick promised if he were invited to the Bears training camp to compete for the starting spot, he would turn it into a real dogfight. Most veteran observers doubt the Bears will be successful in signing Cutler, since the quarterback prefers the shotgun, while General Manager Jerry Angelo prefers quarterbacks who throw wounded ducks.
